The right moment

A photography from Barcelona, on the streets in a old part

The image of two people out of focus help to created a nice photo.

In my opinion, to take photos it’s capture moments “instantaneous”. Less than one second after you push the button, this moment it’s gone.

For me, this is true in street photography, sports or anything that have action or change. For example, a portrait also can capture and expression, that finish very quickly.

It’s very difficult to find this right moment, but it’s the essence of this art.

The first point to look for this moment, its find something nice or interesting: a lonely street, a lovers kissing with a lot of passion, or static object.

The second part to do is to think. Think in what kind of photo you want, where is the core of the image. And finally, how to set the camera. In this moment it’s very important understand concepts like exposure, depth of field, etc.

At the moment when you find your “photo”, decided the composition, the idea, you must be alert and be patient. Look for this moment that bring to you a great image it’s not easy.

Open your eyes, be aware and don’t stop thinking. Think it’s the key.

In the photo that I show in the post, I took walking on the streets. I like to see these photography’s like souvenirs. These souvenirs are the best important part of the photo, for this, I use a small depth of field to focus on it. The street was blurring. It’s nice but I think that include a person it could be interesting.

I stand out, ready with my camera on the photos – souvenir, and waiting. When past someone, I took the photo, and finally I got this.

I took several photos and finally I stopped when I saw this in my LCD. The processed was minimum, only white balance, contrast, tone and focus.

Remember, to capture amazing moments be patient, look for and don’t stop thinking.

I wish that this post you like it.

Thanks for reading.
