Good motorsport fans sure to quickly locate this car. Is the Porsche 917K Steve McQueen leading the legendary film Le Mans in 1970, with its distinctive blue and orange.

On the occasion of the Espíritu de Montjuic, 2012, met in Montmeló many treasures of the competition driver. Walking through the paddock I found this car parked and quickly decided to photograph it.

The first thing I tried to convey is the sheer size of this car and how impressive it is. For this I chose a low angle, and a photograph at the eyes, does not much interest.

The second part is to decide what focal length to use. For this I mounted a 14-42mm Olympus, which is the maximum angle at my disposal. The angles make things look bigger than they really are. It is also necessary to approach as much asthe subject, in this case the car.

The background is always important. In this case had no choice, since the car is stationary, but I think that trucks do not disturb too much and put the car in a racing environment. Another important section and you have to be careful is to avoid leaving people near the car. It’s hard because a Porsche always attracts attention, so be attentive.

The day was cloudy, and to compensate the image had been a little clearer, I decided to adjust the levels, and the layer hue / saturation, increase the saturation to bring out the color blue, ingress always too artificial results. To finish, applied focus layer.

Versión en castellano: Los buenos aficionados al mundo del motor seguro que ubican rápidamente este coche. Es el Porsche 917K que condujo Steve Mcqueen en la mítica película Le Mans de 1970, con sus colores azul y naranja característicos.

Con el motivo del Espíritu de Montjuic de 2012, se reunieron en Montmeló gran cantidad de tesoros de la competición automovilista. Paseando por el paddock encontré este coche aparcado y rápidamente decidí fotografiarlo.

Lo primero que intenté transmitir es el gran tamaño de este coche y lo imponente que es. Para ello opté por un ángulo bajo, ya que una fotografía a nivel de los ojos, no produce demasiado atractivo.

El segundo apartado es decidir que distancia focal usar. Para ello monté un 14-42mm de Olympus, que es el máximo angular del que dispongo. Los angulares hacen que las cosas parezcan más grandes de lo que en realidad son. También es necesario acercarse lo máximo al sujeto, en este caso el coche.

El fondo siempre es importante. En este caso no podía elegir, puesto que el coche está estático, pero creo que los camiones tampoco estorban demasiado y sitúan el coche dentro de un entorno de competición. Otro apartado importante y que hay que estar atento es evitar que salgan personas cerca del coche. Es difícil puesto que un Porsche siempre llama la atención, por tanto estar atentos.

Recomiendo también coger la cámara con fuerza, ya que de ello dependerá la nitidez de la foto, y realizar varios disparos, con diferentes exposiciones y distancias focales, hasta tener lo que buscamos.

El día era nublado, y para compensar que la imagen había quedado un poco clara, decidí ajustar los niveles, y con la capa tono/saturación, subir la saturación, para resaltar el color azul, siempre evitando que queden resultados demasiado artificiales. Para acabar se aplicó una capa de enfoque.
